Home Tour Press Release
YMCA Holiday Home Tour to Go Virtual
Redlands Family YMCA to host 53rd Annual Holiday Home Tour
The YMCA annual Home Tour is enjoyed by hundreds of enthusiasts, many of who make it a yearly tradition to enjoy the variety of gorgeous and unique Redlands homes.
"While this weekend will look different, we are thrilled to announce a Virtual Home Tour for this year," Home Tour Committee Chair Shelli Stockton said. "Our priority is to continue to keep everyone safe & healthy, and the YMCA Virtual Home Tour will help us do that while continuing to support the Y’s Legal Aid Clinic."
"This year's virtual Home Tour not only allows you to tour selected spaces within four distinctly different homes across Redlands but to also meet the homeowners and hear directly from them about their home. This will make it feel very personal, like these homeowners are giving you a personal tour of their favorite spaces," said Stockton.
Stockton is not the only committee member excited about moving to a virtual format for the 2020 tour.
“The four homes we selected cover everything from small to large in size, vintage to contemporary in style, and all are beautifully decorated,” said Char Burgess, the Home Finder Chair of the Home Tour Committee “If it’s a new décor idea you are searching for or if you just want to see inside some of Redlands’ finest, this tour will be for you.”
Home tour tickets, $20 in advance and $25 after Nov. 30th. Tickets are on sale now at https://ymcahometour.org
All net proceeds from the YMCA Home Tour and Holiday Boutique weekend, Dec. 5th & 6th, support the Y's Legal Aid Clinic.
The Legal Aid Clinic is entirely community funded. "The YMCA Home Tour and Holiday Boutique are the key fundraising events for the Legal Aid Clinic, which serves hundreds across the East Valley community every year," said Stockon.
YMCA’s Legal Aid Clinic offers assistance with civil legal matters. Unlike criminal court, civil cases offer no guaranteed right to a lawyer. The Y Legal Aid clinic offers assistance across a wide range of civil issues that span housing, disability access, domestic violence, guardianship, and child custody.
On December 5th & 6th, located at the Redlands Family YMCA the 41st Annual Holiday Boutique will offer handmade crafts and artisan goods as part of this Legal Aid fundraising weekend.
The Redlands Y's Holiday Boutique offers a curated market full of handcrafted jewelry, skincare, ceramics, holiday décor, sewing, jams, paintings, candles, woodwork, and more. This year, with many returning past participants, the boutique will showcase 40 plus vendors. This weekend event is a great place to shop for a unique, one-of-a-kind gift and support local artists. You can find a preview of this year's vendors on Facebook @RedlandsHolidayBoutique.
